New! Horizontal Bar Panels

The new horizontal bar panel was developed due to many requests . Marty McGee Bennett prefers a bar panel when training camelids as well. The panels we made to specs supplied by Marty. The bar panel uses the same lightweight frame and connector system as our popular mesh panels. The bar and mesh panels are therefore interchangeable and can be used together in any configuration. The bar panel is slightly heavier than the mesh panel however still very lightweight compared to other bar panel products available on the market. The bar panel is as strong as the mesh panel because we’ve added a stiffener bar in the middle of the longer (over 6’) panels.
The bars are spaced in increasing increments from the ground up.
The lower spacing at the bottom of the panels will help keep crias contained while the wider spacing at the top helps to maintain the lightweight nature of the panels.
Spacing from the ground up for each successive bar:
5", 10", 16", 23", 30", 38", 48".
Thanks, Jay.

P.S. I only wish I had ordered more panels the first time. They ease my work and give me an “in the moment” flexibility that is so handy as we have added girls and boys!

Install Note:
The actual length of a panel is ½” less than the nominal length.
An example of this is an 8’ panel will measure 7’11 ½” overall.
The difference in the nominal length and actual length can be made up when using post wall connectors to connect a panel to a post or wall.
Each connection between the panel and the post/wall connector allows for some variability in the connections.
The reason for the variability is that there are two possible connection locations on the female end of each panel.

An example:
For an 8’ panel the inside distance between posts should be 8’ or 8’ 1 ¼”.
When using the interior connector loops the panel will measure the exact 8’.
Adding 1 ¼” to the nominal panel length however will provide for a better installation.
This will allow for using the two outside loops to connect the panel to the posts or wall.
Thus allowing you to use the inside loops to create corners.

Other Examples:
12'panel – actual length 11'11 ½”
4'panel - 3' 11 ½”
You can see each of the connectors by clicking here.

Hi Jay,

Actually, the panels are in the back of my truck.
They fit quite nicely and are securely bungeed.
I will be pulling the trailer to the show in New Jersey on Sunday.
I took a ride, to the gas station, with the panels in the truck.
They held nicely.
I especially like the fact that I can handle them myself.
