The Reichert TS400 is a high performance hand-held clinical refractometer which determines urine specific gravity, protein concentration in plasma or serum, and total solids in other aqueous solutions. Automatic temperature compensation provides accurate readings without the need for correction tables or temperature measurement.

Detailed Description:
The Reichert TS400 contains scales to measure urine specific gravity with precision to +/-0.001 (range 1.000 - 1.060); protein concentration with precision of +/-0.2 (range 0.0 – 12.0); and refraction with precision to +/-0.0004 (range 1.333 – 1.357). All readings are automatically temperature compensated which eliminates measuring temperature and applying a correction factor.
The TS400 features an optical design with anti-reflection, coated glass and a 10x focusable eyepiece to improve image resolution and to provide high contrast and a sharp shadowline for easy viewing of scales.
The manual for the TS400 includes a full set of conversion tables for protein, urine solids and refractive index.

NEW AND IMPROVED! The Reichert Rhino VET360 features an incredibly durable, impact resistant, and water resistant housing to ensure quality readings every time. A new blue prism also improves the readability of the scale and shadowline interstect.
Uses automatic temperature compensation to provide accurate readings regardless of ambient temperature. The unit automatically corrects all readings back to the Standard Reference Temperature of 68°F (20°C). This provides superior accuracy and reliability, and much greater accuracy than with urinometers of reagent strips.
The Reichert Rhino VET360 is easy to use. Simply place a drop or two of sample on the prism, hold the prism perpendicular to a light source, and look into the eyepiece. It instantly determines urine specific gravity (used to derive urine total solids) and protein concentration of plasma, serum as well as peritoneal fluid. |
