Creep feeder gates allow young animals to enter
into a feeding zone, while keeping out the dams and other animals. The
gate has two adjustable bars to allow flexibility in determining the
right size for access for your growing little ones.
To make a 10’ x 10’ creep feeder pen one would use the following:
3 – 4’ x 10’ panels (can be mesh or bar, your choice) $136

Creep gates promote faster growth and lessens the strain off the dams by
encouraging the younger animals to start eating on their own more
quickly. You will see faster weight gains and healthier babies when they
are allowed free choice feed. It also makes weaning much easier for the
young livestock, as they are already eating well on their own when you
separate them from the dams.
When the creep feeder access is no longer needed, simply put the 2
adjustable bars in place to create a regular gate.

I have used many of the products offered by

with a nursing Mom and cria. The panels and gates are light

for Creep Gate Use
"I put the cria inside the creep area with some grain. I let them eat some grain then find their way out & back to mom.
After 2 or 3 times they usually figure out how to find their way back in to get to the grain."
